I finally finished the laptop conversion training project this past week. In the end I was surprised at how draining the travel ended up being. I was on the road almost 100% of the time and was rarely in one location for more than 2 days at the most. I think the hardest part was the constant shifting of my location. If I had been able to setttle into one location and unpack for a few days it would have been easier. The hardest part was not feeling I had the time to keep up with my life outside of work. Correspondence fell by the wayside and contact with friends and family was at a minimum. This was particularly hard.
But, it is over now. I have a long stretch of time here at home to get stuff done and feel settled again. I’m sure once I feel more stable I will be ready to hit the open road once more.
